REAL vs FAKE

12:17 AMmorgan

Hello!
With so many online sites that sell tsum tsums it can often be difficult to identify the real from the fake. Here are some things to look for when shopping from third party sellers and a quick comparison of a real and a fake tsum tsum.

1. Find out where it is shipping from.
If it is shipping from China it is most likely a fake or defective. If it is coming from Florida or California it is most likely genuine from the parks, which gets collections 1-3 months after the initial release.

2. Look at the prices.
If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. Unfortunately most real tsum tsums will be more expensive than fakes.

3. Look at the photos and read the description.
If the photos provided seem like stock photos or do not compare to the real tsum tsums it is probably not genuine. Hidden in the depths of most store descriptions it will say fanmade products.

Identifying Real vs Fake:
(Real Buzz Pictured on the Right, Fake Buzz Pictured on the Left)

The fake one has only black embroidery, and the eyebrow raise is on the left, whereas on the real one the eyebrow raise is on the right.
The Real Buzz has a triangular embroidered noise, whereas the fake Buzz has a glued oval nose.

The real one has embroidered wings and the fake one has glued fabric wings.

The real one has separated stripes and the fake one has combined stripes.

The real and fake ones have very different shapes. For example, the real one is very rectangular and the fake one is square and small.

As you can see, you can easily identify the real vs fake tsum tsums. Although third party sellers are an option for tsum tsums long past selling on the Disney store, remember the best way to buy tsum tsums online will always be directly from disneystore.com.
